Templates for Teachers
Below are a few items to make your life simpler. Throughout my time as a PBL and Design Thinking facilitator, I created a number of resources to support my students' thinking. Feel free to download whatever you like and alter the forms as you see fit. Also, share this webpage with others. We could all use a little help with resources to help manage the process of deeper learning with students.
Rubric Templates: Four rubric templates (holistic, analytic, single-point, standards-based) you can use to establish criteria for quality work and thinking.
|
Presentation Prepper Form: This form can be used with students and teams to plan and practice for high quality and compelling presentations.
|
Storyboard Template: I love using this simple form with students so they can organize their thoughts, unpack ideas, and think sequentially about their work.
|
Reflection & Revision Form: Use this with students so they can outline next steps for refinement of their work, especially after they've received a round of feedback from others.
|
Praise, Question, Suggestion: Use this simple form when you'd like students to provide each other constructive feedback on in-progress work.
Peer Critique Form: This peer feedback form provides structure and guidance to foster kind, specific, and helpful ideas to others on draft work.
6-8-5 Brainstorming Template: Based on the 6-8-5 strategy from Gamestorming, this template provides a space for students to ideate and share with others.
Project Checkpoint Form: This template supports an "earn as you go" approach to projects. Students can conference with the teacher to earn points and move to the next phase of the project.
|
Product Proposal Form: Sometimes students and teams want to decide their own products. This form ensures they have voice and choice while adhering to the standards for the project.
PBL Conferencing Form: I love holding 1:1 and team conferences. This form helps me stay on track with student and team progress throughout a project.
Action Plan Template: A goal without a plan is a wish! This form supports students as they outline concrete action steps to fulfill their team goals.
Kanban Board Template: A Kanban board is a visual management tool that helps project teams track their work. Students can use this to prioritize their workload, and ensure they stay on top of deadlines.
